It consists of Electric Hoist travelling on the lower flange of Main Girder and not required rail for cross travelling. It consists of a crab mechanism that travels above both girders run over cross travel rails with platforms to maintain all parts of crab.
Double Girder Cranes are used, primarily inside a building to lift and move heavy loads from one place to another. As the name suggests, the double girder EOT cranes have two parallel guide rails, also called bridges, to support the weight of the lifted load.
